Komorní Lhotka lies in the foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. The village is about 10 km west of Třinec and 13 km east of Frýdek-Místek.

Part of the village is a village conservation area. In Komorní Lhotka, the Evangelical church dates from 1783, while the Roman Catholic Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus dates from 1886. The Tolerance Memorial, dating from 1936, stands on Godula’s western slope above the village. The village has had a multi-purpose sports hall since 2005.

A flower shop in Třinec delivers flowers to Komorní Lhotka. Recipients can also receive flowers at the local primary school and nursery, the municipal office, Koliba guesthouse and restaurant, or SAREPTA care home, which reopened after refurbishment in February 2026.
